Tourist Carjacked at Gun Point |

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Robbery Bureau are investigating an armed carjacking, involving at least three subjects, in which a rented vehicle was stolen from a tourist in a hotel parking lot in Northwest Miami-Dade. According to the detectives, on Wednesday, August 12, at about 6:30 a.m., the victim was in the hotel parking lot waiting for his family, when a man armed with a gun entered his vehicle. Fearing for his life the victim fled. At that point another subject entered the vehicle. The subjects fled from the hotel with the victim’s rental car and a silver Toyota, Tundra, in which they had arrived. The victim was not injured and the rental vehicle has not been recovered.
