Investigators say that an emergency call was received at approximately 1:51 a.m. from a Walgreens regarding an armed robbery. Once officers arrived, they were informed that the armed subject, who was masked at the time of the robbery, fled in a white 4-door vehicle. Responding officers immediately observed a vehicle that matched the description and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The subject then fled from the officers and a pursuit ensued.  At approximately SW 28000 block the subject's vehicle was disabled and came to a stop.  Shots were fired and the subject was pronounced deceased on the scene. A firearm was recovered inside the subject's vehicle. No officers were injured during the incident.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is conducting the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
