The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Agriculture Patrol Unit is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the person or persons who, over the weekend, stole a 23 year-old horse from a home in Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to investigators between eight o’clock Saturday night and 7:45 Sunday morning, unknown person or persons cut the fence on the east side of the property and stole the 23 year-old, bay gelding. The horse can be identified by a freeze brand on his neck and a lip tattoo.
Detectives say tire marks were seen where the horse was taken and that the thief or thieves had repaired the fence, making it seem to be intact.
UPDATE #1: The remains of the 23 year-old horse that was stolen on November 21, 2015 have been found. MDPD's Agriculture Patrol Unit is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying/or locating the person or persons responsible.
