Trafficking Counterfeit Credit Cards and Marijuana Hydroponics Lab
|
|
|
(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department, Economic Crimes Bureau detectives arrested several individuals involved in fraudulent credit card fraud and marijuana hydroponics lab.
According to detectives while surveilling a home, detectives observed Lazaro Chaleton arrive in a silver, Ford F-350 Pickup and make contact with Yirandi Martinez, where he then provided several credit cards. Mr. Chaleton left the home and was followed to a nearby gas station where he was stopped by detectives. Mr. Chaleton had purchased fuel with a fraudulent credit card and an examination of the pickup truck revealed an illegal fuel bladder used during illegal fuel scheme.
A search of the residence revealed a hydroponics lab containing approximately 16 pounds of marijuana and several credit card skimming devices. The subjects were detained, questioned and subsequently arrested by investigators.
