Rash of Vehicle Burglaries Subject Apprehended

(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Kendall District detectives today arrested two individuals, one of whom was responsible for a rash of vehicle burglaries throughout Miami-Dade County.

Detectives while surveilling a daycare located at 11211 SW 102 Avenue, observed a silver Mercedes Benz fitting the description of the same vehicle involved in numerous vehicle burglaries throughout Miami-Dade County.  The vehicle parked in a parking space and investigators observed Tavares Goldman attempt to enter an SUV.  Mr. Tavares quickly changed his mind and re-entered the Mercedes passenger side and sped off in high rate of speed.  Shortly after detectives located the vehicle at SW 117 Avenue & 104 Street, abandoned.  With the assistance of some good Samaritans, detectives were able to locate both subjects.

Shanique Osbourne and Tavares Goldman were detained, questioned and subsequently arrested.  Ms. Osbourne confessed to being responsible for seven separate vehicle burglaries throughout the county.
