(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a fatal traffic crash that resulted in three deaths. According to investigators, the Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on NW 17 Avenue attempting to make a left turn when it was struck at the intersection of NW 119 Street by a Chevrolet Impala who was traveling northbound on NW 17 Avenue.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the passengers of the Toyota Corolla deceased on scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say speed may have been a contributing factor.
Update #1: The names of the deceased victims are listed above. Next of Kin have been notified.
