The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Robbery Bureau is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating a man who robbed and injured a store clerk at 6886 NW 169 Street, on Wednesday, June 22. 

Detectives say that at about 10:20 that morning the subject, wearing a white hat, blue shirt and black cargo pants, entered the store and wondered around aimlessly.  As the victim, a store clerk, attended to customers at the cash register, the subject reached across the counter and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim confronted him and in an ensuing struggle he pushed her to the floor causing her to strike the back of her head. However, she did manage to grab her purse back from the subject and to hang on to it despite his repeated attempts to take it. He eventually fled the store on foot, damaging the door in his escape.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and treated the victim for her injuries.
