The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) announces the arrest of 25 individuals as a result of a 6 months investigation.
According to investigators, January 2016 an investigation began onto a criminal street gang called Yellow Tape. This gang was known to operate within the Cutler Manor Apartment Complex, located at 10875 SW 216 Street. The gang originally started off as a neighborhood clique involved in adolescent criminal activity, but have transitioned into a criminal enterprise that uses violence and intimidation to take over drug territory. Due to their involvement in numerous criminal activities, this gang was investigated to stop the ongoing violence. The operation consisted in the execution of 10 simultaneous search warrants, 8 within Cutler Manor Apartment Complex and 2 at nearby residential homes. Additionally, 31 arrest warrants and 15 bench warrants were prepared.
Of those 46 subjects, 25 were arrested on today’s date and are facing a slew of charges.
