Residential Burglary


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department’s South District are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating two men who burglarized a residence in Southwest Miami-Dade and shot at the resident during a confrontation.

 

Investigators say that just before 9:30 Monday morning, two men in their early twenties, dressed in black sweaters with hoodies, smashed a rear window and gained entry to a residence at 14315 SW 285 Terrace.

 

The resident returned home while the thieves were ransacking the residence. The subjects ran and the resident gave chase. One of the burglars fired several shots at him. He was not hit.  

 

A search of the area was conducted by officers of the Special Response Team, the K-9 Unit and MDPD Aviation. However, the burglars were not caught and remain at large.
