Armed Robbery

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department's Robbery Bureau is investigating an armed robbery that left a victim shot outside of a residence in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Detectives say that about 5:30 this afternoon, the victim was standing outside of 2100 NW 124 Street when he was approached by two black males each armed with a gun.  Both of the robbers demanded the victim’s gold chain when a struggle ensued and one of the subjects shot the victim in his abdomen.  While the victim was laying on the ground one of the subjects grabbed the chain from his neck.  The subjects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to Northshore Hospital by a neighbor where he was then transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Hospital in critical condition.
