Dwayne Know, 31 years old, of southwest Miami-Dade, was shot and critically wounded early Thursday morning.

Detectives from Miami-Dade’s Police Department’s South District, who are investigating the incident, say that shortly after one o’clock in the morning, officers were dispatched to a call of a shooting at 22210 SW 116 Avenue.  Arriving officers found Mr. Knox suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded, provided emergency care, and transported the victim to Jackson South Hospital in critical condition. 

Witnesses told investigators that a black-four door Honda fled the area moments after the shooting.
