Shooting


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives From Miami-Dade Police Department's South District are investigating a shooting that left six minors injured at a birthday in southwest Miami-Dade.

According to detectives, shortly after 10:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 17, 2016, officers responded to a shooting at 20582 SW 119 Avenue.  Arriving officers discovered six minors suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department responded and transported four victims to Jackson South Hospital, another victim was transported to Baptist Hospital in Kendall, and the sixth victim was airlifted to Kendall Regional Hospital.  All victims were listed in stable condition.

Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in obtaining any additional information regarding this shooting.

The investigation is on-going.
