Domestic Related Murder


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a domestic related murder that resulted in the death of an elderly male and female in southwest Miami-Dade.

According to investigators, shortly after noon time, officers responded to reports of two elderly people  deceased inside of a residence, located at 14101 SW 147 Court. Arriving units discovered Gumersindo Perez Rodriguez barricaded inside of the residence. The Special Response Team (SRT) were summoned. SRT officers and uniform officers made entry into the residence and were able to convince Mr. Perez Rodriguez to surrender himself without incident. 

Officers also discovered an elderly male and female deceased inside of the residence. 

There is no additional information at this time. The investigation on-going.
