Detectives Make Arrest in Internet Transportation Driver Carjacking

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Robbery Bureau is investigating an armed robbery/carjacking of a network transportation company, which occurred early this morning, which resulted in the arrest of two males.

The victim, Jose Myrick, who is a driver for an internet based transportation company was hired by two individuals, later identified as Mr. Dave Petit-Homme and Mr. Deontay Bivins. The individuals asked to be taken to NW 32 Avenue & 67 Street. Once they arrived, Mr. Petit-Homme produced a black semi-automatic firearm and Mr. Bivins a revolver. A struggle ensued where the subjects were able to take control of the victim and ordered him at gun-point to exit the vehicle. The victim in fear for his life complied and both subjects fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Shortly after, through investigative means, detectives were able to locate the vehicle and subjects at 14201 NW 14 Drive.

There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
