Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Northside District are investigating a shooting that left 3 adult males injured.
According to investigators, shortly before 7 o’clock Tuesday evening officers responded to a shooting outside of a market located at 8201 NW 17 Avenue. Once arrival, they discovered 2 adult black males each suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso and 1 adult black male to the lower torso. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported all of the victims to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where their condition is unknown at this time.
Witnesses told investigators that a light color SUV occupied at least with two individuals pulled up to the corner and a passenger exited the vehicle shooting at the victims. The shooter then entered the vehicle and fled east bound.
Update #1: All three victims have been identified above. Mr. Edward Lane and Mr. Andre Copeland were treated at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital and discharged. However, Mr. Jovane Jenkins is in critical condition but stable with a gunshot wound to the chest.
