Traffic Fatality


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a traffic crash that resulted in a toddler and an adult deceased.

According to investigators, the preliminary investigation reveals that a Mercedes and a Honda Civic were traveling eastbound on NW North River Drive at a high rate of speed. One of the vehicles lost control and struck the other causing both vehicles to crash into a lot and subsequently catch fire. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The passenger of the Mercedes was transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center and the driver of the Honda Civic was treated on scene. Once firefighters extinguished the fire they discovered a black male and a toddler deceased. The female passenger is listed in critical but stable condition.
