The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a crash that resulted in one dead and one transported to the hospital. According to investigators, the driver of a BMW was traveling northbound. A delivery truck was making a right turn onto US-1 when the BMW crashed into the truck. The driver of the BMW pronounced deceased on the scene and the passenger was transported to Jackson South Trauma Center and is receiving medical attention. His condition is unknown at this time. The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries. US-1 is shut down from S.W. 144 Street to S.W. 152 Street in both directions. No further information at this time.
