Armed Commercial Robbery

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department Robbery Bureau is investigating an armed commercial robbery in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Detectives say shortly before nine this evening, three black males armed with guns, robbed a cell phone store, located at 8649 NW 186 Street. An undisclosed amount of property was taken, while the subjects fled in a possible white van or blue Nissan Altima. The investigation led detectives to the area of SW 117 Avenue and SW 172 Street, where a detective spotted the Nissan Altima after being involved in a Hit & Run Accident with a black Lexus. The subjects fled on foot and the investigator quickly established a perimeter.

Three offenders were detained and are being questioned by detectives to determine their involvement with the earlier robbery and possibly other cell phone store robberies throughout the county, if any.

Additionally, two firearms were recovered within the perimeter.

No one was injured.

The investigation continues...

UPDATE #1: The subjects involved in the armed commercial robbery have been arrested and charged accordingly.
