(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Intracoastal District, are investigating a shooting that occurred in Northwest Miami-Dade County.

According to investigators shortly after four o'clock this morning (March 29, 2017), officers from the Intracoastal District responded to reports of a shooting at a gas station located, 595 NW 95 Street. Upon arrival officers discovered a black male victim, identified as Jeff Francois, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the left thigh and knee.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition. 

A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. 

The investigation continues.
