(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Northside District are investigating a nonfatal shooting of four adults.
On October 3, 2017, at approximately 8:28 p.m., patrol units were dispatched to the Lincoln Fields Apartments, located at 2051 NW 65 Street, regarding a person shot. Responding units located the first shooting victim, a 25 year old female, in the courtyard of the Lincoln Fields Apartments. As the units and investigators canvassed the premises an additional two gunshot victims were located. The three shooting victims were transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center. The investigation revealed that a fourth victim, a 32 year old male, had been transported to North Shore Hospital by an unknown person and subsequently transferred to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center. All victims are said to be in stable condition.
The information obtained by investigators indicates that the victims attended a candle light vigil in the vicinity of the Lincoln Fields Apartments. The vigil was in remembrance of homicide victim, Victoria Tutson. Approximately one hour after the conclusion of the vigil, a vehicle drove by and began firing at the victims. Additional information will be communicated, as soon as it becomes available.
