Man shot in front of his house during an attempted armed robbery.


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating an attempted armed robbery that left one man shot multiple times in front of his residence.

According to investigators, Mr. Dorrel Anderson was leaving his home when two unknown males approached his vehicle and demanded his wallet. In fear for his safety, Mr. Anderson attempted to drive away. Both subjects opened fire striking Mr. Anderson multiple times in his extremities and causing him to crash into a pole. As the subjects fled the scene, one of them turned around and fired several more shots at Mr. Anderson, striking him in the chest. The subjects fled on foot and remain at large. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported Mr. Anderson, in stable condition, to Aventura Hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation continues.
