The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating the death of a college student found deceased inside his apartment.

According to investigators, Mr. Yasser Talal Ibrahim Abualfaraj was found deceased in his off-campus apartment by his room-mate at approximately 3:44 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Abualfaraj's room-mate alerted local law enforcement who responded to the apartment and notified MDPD, Homicide detectives. The body of the 23 year-old college student suffered multiple signs of trauma. No subject information has been provided at this time.

The investigation continues.

UPDATE #1:  The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) in collaboration with the Coral Gables Police Department continued to follow all leads involving the murder of Yasser Abualfaraj.  The investigation led to the identity of Robert Wayne Gore.  Investigators located Robert Gore in the area of S.W. 200 Street and South Dixie Highway.  He was transported to the MDPD, Homicide Bureau to be interviewed by investigators.  Charges are pending.
