Mother and Daughter Shot While Sitting Inside Their Car.


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating the shooting of a mother and her 13 year old daughter.

According to investigators, City of Opa-Locka police officers responded to the area of East Superior Street regarding shots fired. The responding officers found Ms. Quantia Curry and her daughter inside a white sedan, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Ms. Curry was determined deceased on scene. Her daughter was transported to the Ryder Trauma Center where she was treated and later released.

The investigation has revealed that at least two subjects walked up to the vehicle and opened fire. The gunmen then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
