According to investigators, two males arrived in a Chevrolet Silverado with a covered tag.  The owner was not at home; however, the house was occupied by the two victims, who were visiting the home.  The subjects knocked on the front door and when Mr. Hernandez opened it, he noticed one of the subjects was wearing a bullet proof vest with the letters "FBI."  Both victims were taken to the bathroom and told to stay inside.  A short time later, both victims exited the bathroom and noticed both subjects had fled.  The subjects drove off with duffel bags containing approximately $30,000 worth of jewelry and sports memorabilia.  The victims were not injured.

The subjects' images were captured on video surveillance and are available on Media Relations Bureau FTP Site under 2019/January/Video/PD190130037393_Police_Impersonator.  Detectives are requesting the community's assistance in locating and/or identifying the subjects.

Update #1: The subject wearing the hat with the letters "NYC" has been arrested and charged accordingly.
