(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

 

 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

According to investigators, officers from the Opa-locka Police Department were dispatched to the shooting scene.  When the officers arrived, they discovered two victims shot.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and determined one victim deceased.  The second victim was transported, in stable condition, to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.  The preliminary investigation revealed that a light colored vehicle was seen driving in the area and the occupant(s) discharged a firearm, striking the victims. 

The investigation continues.
