Elderly Man is Victim of Strong Arm Robbery

Need to Identify

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating a strong arm robbery in a bank parking lot.

According to investigators, the victim was entering his vehicle in a bank parking lot. A subject ran up to him and aggressively snatches his bag which contained an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and credit cards. The subject then ran to an awaiting vehicle.  While the subjects were fleeing from the scene, the victim attempted to retrieve his bag from inside the subjects moving vehicle and was dragged, causing him to fall onto the pavement. A second vehicle, believed to be an accomplice, pulled out of a parking spot and followed the fleeing subjects. The victim sustained a laceration to the back of his head and to his right hand, and was transported to an area hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.  Later that day, three subjects attempted to make a purchase at a retail store using the victim's stolen credit cards but were unsuccessful and fled on foot.

The subjects’ images were captured on video surveillance which are available on the Media Relations Section FTP Site under 2019/September/PD190907321011 CHASE and 2019/September/PD1909073231011_Media Release.  Investigators are requesting the community's assistance in identifying and/or locating the subjects.
