Officers responded to a business in reference to a female shot.  Once the officers arrived, they discovered a female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The MDPD Priority Response Team immediately responded and provided emergency care.   Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jackson South Medical Center where she succumbed to her injury.  The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot by an armed security guard stationed at the business.  Investigators are interviewing the security guard to determine the details surrounding the incident.

The investigation continues.

UPDATE #1:  Detectives interviewed the subject. He was arrested and charged accordingly.
