The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating an incident where a Golden Beach Police Department officer was shot and the subject was found deceased.
Shortly after 11p.m., officers from the Miami Shores Police Department received a 911 call. The female caller advised that she walked outside her residence and observed a black male armed with a gun and his face partially covered. The subject made no demands; however,told the female to walk back inside her house. The female complied and contacted the police. Upon police officers arriving, they immedialtley established a perimeter for the subject and requested K-9 assistance from nearby police agencies. K-9 Officers began searching and upon making entry into a residence, located at 10674 NE 11 Ct, the Golden Beach police officer was shot by the subject. He was immediately transported by Miami Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR) to Adventura Hospital, were he is in stable condition.
MDPD Special Response Team (SRT), along with Hostage Negotiators responded to the scene. Negotiators were unable to negotiate with the subject and SRT made entry into the residence, discoveringthe subject deceased inside.
MDFR responded to the scene and pronounced the subject deceased.
