Police Involved Shooting


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Intervention Detail (R.I.D.) were involved in a shooting of a subject wanted for murder in a City of Miami investigation. 

According to investigators, RID detectives were searching for the wanted subject, when they located him near the 7000 block of N.W. 41st Street, inside a gold Jeep Cherokee.  The detectives attempted to make contact with the subject, who was armed with a firearm, when shots were fired.  The subject was struck and was determined deceased on the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.  No officers were injured during the incident.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is conducting the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
