The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a domestic shooting that resulted in two people injured. According to investigators, Kel Payne was involved in a verbal dispute with his sister, victim #1, when victim #2, the mother of his child, intervened. Payne produced a firearm and shot both victims and fled the scene. Responding officers immediately established a perimeter and were able to apprehend Payne without incident. Victim #1 was shot in the buttocks and victim #2 in the leg. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition.
