(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department(MDPD), Northside District, is investigating a traffic accident that resulted in one male shot in Northwest Miami-Dade.

According to investigators, at approximately 7:40p.m., a blue Kia Cadenza and a black Ford Focus were traveling Northbound on NW 22 Avenue and NW 105 Avenue. The Ford Focus side swiped the blue Kia; both vehicles stopped and the drivers exited  their vehicles. The passenger of the Ford Focus exited the vehicle and shot the driver of the Kia mulitiple times.  The driver and the passager of the Ford Focus fled the scene Northbound on NW 22 Avenue.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department responded and transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

The investigation continues.
