(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Detectives from Miami-Dade Police Department's South District are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the person or persons who shot 13 year old, Eric Watson Jr.

Investigators say around 7:30 Monday evening officers were dispatched to calls of a male shot at 13624 SW 263 Terrace. Responding officers discovered the 13 year old suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the upper torso of this body. The victim was airlifted to Niclaus Hospital in critical condition.

There is no subject description available and a motive is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
