(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department, South District is investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning and resulted in four people shot. According to investigators, the four victims were sitting in front of the residence when a dark colored vehicle stopped and the subject(s) opened fire. The four adult males were struck and transported to area hospitals. The subject vehicle fled the area in an unknown direction. A "Be on the lookout" (B.O.L.O.) was issued with the vehicle description and responding officers located a vehicle that matched the description and attempted to stop and a police pursuit ensued. The subject(s) bailed out of the vehicle in the area of S.W. 250 Street & S.W. 122 Avenue. There was a female that remained inside of the vehicle at the time of the bailout and she was subsequently taken into custody. The driver of the vehicle continued to flee the area on foot. A perimeter was immediately established and K-9 units along with the Special Response Team (SRT) searched the area. The subject was last seen running with a handgun and is considered armed and dangerous. Further investigation led detectives to a residence, located S.W. 264 Street and S.W. 122 Avenue, where a second subject was taken into custody after a physical confrontation with officers. Detectives continue to investigate the involvement of the the two subjects in custody.
The collaborated efforts between multiple police agencies and resources in the search led to negative results and the subject remains at large. The subject is considered armed and dangerous.
