The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in front of a synagogue and left a man injured.
According to investigators, the 68 year-old victim was walking westbound on the property of the synagogue toward the main entrance. A black Chevrolet Impala was observed traveling westbound on NE 171 Street in front of the synagogue. As the victim approached the front door, the vehicle stopped, an unknown male exited the vehicle and opened fire, striking the victim several times in the lower extremities. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Aventura Hospital Trauma Center in stable condition.
