Traffic Fatality


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on the Rickenbacker Causeway. According to investigators, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on the causeway when he struck two bicyclists. The subject originally fled the scene but later returned. Walter Reyes, was pronounced deceased on the scene and the other bicyclist, Henry Hernandez, was transported to Mercy Hospital in serious condition by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Investigators suspect that the subject may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
