Traffic Crash

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a crash involving an unmarked police vehicle, a 2007 Ford Focus, and a 2003 Saturn, that occurred just before 4:00 this morning.

According to investigators, the three vehicles were traveling southbound on the Turnpike extension. The Saturn, traveling in the right lane, struck the Ford Focus. As a result of being struck, the driver of the Focus lost control of the car and subsequently sideswiped the unmarked police vehicle traveling in the left lane.

There were no reported injuries
