(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a traffic crash that resulted in one fatality.  According to investigators, a Miami-Dade Transit bus was traveling westbound on West 68 Street ahead of a Kent Del Rio Motorcycle that was also traveling in the same direction.  The bus made a right turn on West 3 Court when the motorcycle attempted to overtake the transit bus by traveling through a barricaded area.  The motorcyclist attempted to avoid a collision and began sliding until he reached final rest under the bus.  The bus immediately came to a controlled stop just north of the intersection.   Hialeah Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
