Traffic Fatality


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit, is investigating a traffic fatality on Rickenbacker Causeway.

According to investigators, shortly after 5:00p.m., a limousine was exiting the parking lot of the Miami Seaquarium onto the westbound lanes of the Rickenbacker Causeway, when a motorcycle traveling eastbound on the Causeway struck the driver side of the limousine.  The driver of the motorcycle was ejected.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department responded to the scene and transported the driver of the motorcycle to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation continues..

Update#1: The driver of the motorcycle has been identified.
