Traffic Fatality


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a crash that left one dead.

According to investigators, the driver of a black Toyota sedan was traveling westbound on NW 173 Drive. The driver of the white Toyota pickup was traveling southbound on NW 74 Avenue, and began to cross NW 173 Drive. The white Toyota pickup struck the black Toyota sedan, causing it to slide onto the median. The black Toyota sedan then struck a fire hydrant and a tree, ejecting one of the passengers. The driver and one of the passengers of the black Toyota were transported to Ryder Trauma in critical condition, the passenger that was ejected was determined deceased on scene by Miami-Dade Fire rescue. The driver of the white Toyota pickup was not injured.

UPDATE #1:  All parties have been positively identified and listed above.  Mr. Sebastian Delgado succumbed to his injuries this morning at the hospital.

The investigation continues.
