(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a single car crash fatality.

Detectives say, the 2004 Infiniti sedan was travelling westbound on SW 152 Street, lost control and struck the metal sewer pipes in the center median causing the vehicle to be split into two pieces.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the driver deceased on scene.
