Triple Shooting

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department Northside District are conducting an investigation into a shooting that left three juveniles injured in northwest Miami-Dade.
According to investigators, just before 6:30 p.m., today, officers were dispatched to reports of three people shot at an apartment complex, located at 2429 NW 50 Street.  Responding officers discovered an 18 year old male, a 15 year old female, and a 14 year old male, all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  The minor female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her lower abdomen. The minor male sustained a gunshot wound to right leg and the adult male sustained a gunshot wound to the right hand.  The three victims were taken to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred amongst two black males and a group of individuals at the apartment complex.  The argument escalated and became physical. The two males left area, later returning to the apartment complex, where they began shooting, striking the three victims.  The subjects then fled the area southbound on NW 24th Court. A description of the subjects was issued over police radio. A male matching the description of one of the subjects was detained and later release.
The subjects remain at large.  The investigation continues.
