Unlicensed Medical Practitioner Arrest


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Medical Crimes Unit investigators from the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Economic Crimes Bureau, arrested Daniela Gonzalez and Victor Bernal for the unlicensed practice of dentistry.

Investigators received information from the Florida Department of Health advising that dental services were being provided inside a bus situated in a parking lot, located at 6001 NW 74th Avenue. After several months of investigation, undercover operatives from the Florida Department of Health and the MDPD Medical Crime Unit, posed as patients.  Mr. Bernal and Ms. Sulbaran diagnosed and offered treatment to the undercover detectives. Both individuals were arrested and charged for the unlicensed activity. Mr. Bernal was also charged for the possession with the intent to sell, dispense, or deliver drugs without a prescription.

Investigators believe there may be victims who have not yet come forward.
