Vehicle Burglar Caught On Dashcam


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Intracoastal District, is investigating a vehicle burglary where the subject was caught on dashcam video.  Investigators say that at approximately 9:18 p.m. a male broke into a vehicle and stole a firearm and cell phone.  As investigators processed the vehicle in search for leads, they observed that the vehicle was equipped with a dashcam. Upon review of the recorded footage, they were able to see the images of the subject inside of the vehicle.  In the video the subject is observed looking through the vehicle and stealing a firearm along with a cell phone.  Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the subject responsible for this crime.  Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at (305) 471 - TIPS (8477).

UPDATE #1: Investigators were able to obtain additional video surveillance footage involving the same subject.  The video surveillance was able to capture images of the subject and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating the subject responsible for this crime.
