World Trade Center Miami will host Breaking Down Barriers to International Trade Forum on Thursday, June 14 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at PortMiami's Cruise Terminal J, 1120 Caribbean Way, in Miami. More than 250 international executives have registered to attend the forum.
Governor Rick Scott and Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll will discuss Federal regulatory issues as well as international trade promotions. During the event Governor Scott will be signing Senate Bill 1998, legislation which will strengthen Florida's role as a global hub for trade, logistics and export-oriented activities. Under the Freight Mobility and Seaport Funding initiative, the State will invest $150 million into seaport infrastructure improvements across Florida and will create an Intermodal Logistics Center Infrastructure Program.
Sponsors include World Trade Center Miami, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and Enterprise Florida.
