New PortMiami Foreign Trade Zone License Signing Ceremony Taking Place on August 9 |

The U.S. Department of Commerce has accepted PortMiami's application for a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), enhancing Miami-Dade County's status as a Center for International Trade and Commerce. Please join U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary for Import Administration Paul Piquado and Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez for an official license signing ceremony at PortMiami on August 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Assistant Secretary Paul Piquado will visit the Seaport to present PortMiami with its official grant of authority to administer Foreign Trade Zone No.281. The event will be located at PortMiami's Terminal J. Please RSVP to Debra Owens at [email protected] by 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 8th. Note: Parking will be available in Parking Garage J, directly located across from Terminal J.
