Deluxe Cruise Vessel Arrives Tomorrow at Port of Miami

Oceania's Marina newest ship in Port of Miami fleet


The Marina, Oceania Cruises’ new flagship vessel arrives to its winter homeport at the Port of Miami Friday, February 4, 2011.  The ultra-luxury ship is Oceania’s first newbuild in the luxury liner’s eight-year history.

Early risers can view the ship at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, February 4, as it enters Government Cut to a water cannon salute. The Marina, the Port of Miami’s third newbuild ship in seven months, adds an ultra-luxury ship to the Port fleet.  Built in Italy, Marina set sail from Barcelona, Spain on January 22.  It will be christened pier-side on Saturday, February 5.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Marina on to the Port of Miami,” said Bill Johnson, Director of the Port of Miami.  “This is a brand new ship that offers the ultimate in luxury cruising.  We are very proud to have her as an addition to our distinguished fleet of cruise ships.”

The 15-deck ship accommodates up to 1250 guests, with 10 restaurants on-board and high-end amenities including a Canyon Ranch Spa.

The Marina itineraries include destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
