Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeway tolls converting to SunPass at 10:00 p.m. tonight
(MIAMI, September 23, 2014) – Beginning at 10:00 p.m. tonight, the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways will collect tolls electronically. Both causeways will convert to SunPass for toll collection.

What:
Cash tolls and the old County C-Pass transponders will no longer be accepted. All tolls will be collected through SunPass transponders or TOLL-BY-PLATE. Two-axle vehicles with SunPass will pay the standard toll rate of $1.75 per trip on the Rickenbacker Causeway and $1.75 each way on the Venetian Causeway. Vehicles without SunPass will have tolls collected through TOLL-BY-PLATE at a cost of $2.25 per trip and a monthly administrative fee of $2.50. Annual plan holders will continue to enjoy their annual plan rates; however, they must associate their activated SunPass transponders with their causeway toll plans to avoid incurring per-trip toll charges.
