The Rickenbacker Causeway Commuter Plan provides unlimited passage through the Rickenbacker Toll Plaza.
New eligibility requirements came into effect April 1, 2014.
Commuters are restricted to persons employed or attending school on the Rickenbacker Causeway or Key Biscayne. This annual plan is valid from October 1 to September 30, and can be purchased in person at the Service Center located at 4299 Rickenbacker Causeway 33145.
The cost of the Rickenbacker Causeway Commuter Plan is $60 per vehicle plus a one-time refundable deposit of $20 for a C-Pass/Transponder or $3 for a C-card.
The annual plan rate will not be pro-rated. The deposit can only be refunded when the device is returned to the Rickenbacker Service Center in good condition and the account is reconciled.
To obtain a Rickenbacker Causeway Commuter Plan, please provide the following:
- Proof of employment:
- Copy of a paycheck or paystub, with employer’s address
- W-2 form
- Or proof of school enrollment:
- School-issued student identification card
- Student schedule issued by school
- Letter on school letterhead verifying enrollment
- Copy of the current state vehicle registration. Registration must contain the name of the person purchasing the plan.
The Rickenbacker Commuter Plan is available for two-axle non-commercial vehicles only.
If you no longer need the annual plan or are not eligible to renew the plan, please return your device to the Venetian Toll Plaza Office to obtain a refund.
Should you have any questions regarding the annual plans or the renewal process, call 305-579-5436.
The Venetian Causeway Toll Plaza will soon be converted to allow SunPass. Annual Plans will continue to be offered and administered by the County; however, everyone will be required to have a SunPass transponder.
