Ordering additional waste cart service
As of Dec. 1, 2014, a new additional cart service fee of $79.50 per fiscal year has been implemented.
The annual per cart service fee will be prorated depending on when the property owner signs up for the service. There is no longer a $50 charge for the cart itself as was previously paid by customers in past fiscal years.
The fee is non-refundable and subject to annual adjustment each fiscal year. Service cannot be discontinued during the year once additional cart service has been activated.
The initial bill will be sent directly to the property owner. Future charges for the annual cart service fee will appear as part of the non-ad valorem waste fee assessment listed on the proposed TRIM Notice and on the final combined tax bill.
For more information, call 305-514-6666, ext. 1000.
Ordering an additional recycling cart
To encourage increased participation in the single-stream curbside recycling program, the department is offering one additional recycling cart per household at no extra charge.
Increasing your household’s recycling efforts helps save space in your waste cart and increases the amount of recyclables that can be turned into new products.
