Traffic Advisory for Bear Cut Bridge

(MIAMI, January 9, 2013) – The Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department (PWWM) has opened a second lane for westbound traffic (leaving Key Biscayne) on the Bear Cut Bridge. The newly re-opened lane is only for cars and motorcycles.

Trucks leaving Key Biscayne must continue to use only the exiting lane established on the southern side of the bridge. Cars and motorcycles may continue to use this lane as well.

These measures will facilitate westbound traffic flow while continuing to prevent further deterioration of the bridge in the interest of public safety, and are being implemented in consultation with the Village of Key Biscayne. PWWM will continue to reevaluate the maintenance of traffic plan and will provide updates as necessary
